Film Awards
My independent wildlife film, The Circle of Life, has won five film awards. The first award came from the 2021 IndieFEST Film Awards. It won an Award of Merit in the Nature / Environment / Wildlife category. The Circle of Life has gone on to win an Outstanding Achievement Award at the Druk International Film Festival in Bhutan, Best Environmental Film at the High Tatras Film & Video Festival in Slovakia, an Exceptional Merit Award at the 2022 Nature Without Borders International Film Festival in the USA, and a Best Eco Work award at the Snow Leopard International Film Festival in Spain.
My co-production with Christel Veraart, The Return Of The Salmon, has won two film awards in the USA. The first award came from the 2015 IndieFEST Film Awards. It won an Award of Merit in the Nature / Environment / Wildlife category. The Return Of The Salmon was honoured by winning Best Of Alaska Award at the 2015 Alaska International Film Awards.

The Circle of Life was an official selection at 14 international film festivals, winning five film awards.
The Return of the Salmon
The Return Of The Salmon received its UK premiere in London as an official selection at the 2015 British Documentary Film Festival. It received its Asian premiere at the 2015 International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival. Both The Return Of The Salmon and the shot wildlife conservation film, Red-Shanked Douc – Primates On The Edge, were honoured with an official selection for the 2016 Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in New York in October 2016.
Photography Awards
I was delighted to receive recognition from the British Deer Society in 2013 for my work on Roe deer, by winning first place in their 50th Anniversary Open Photographic Competition. The judges commented that, “the mood and impression that the photograph conveyed captured their imagination”. All the judges said they, “could hang the picture on a wall and not tire of looking at it”. The print was said to be, “first class and kept drawing the eye to it”.

Travel Photographer of the Year
I was a finalist in the 2013 Travel Photographer of the Year competition with my image of a moulting chameleon that I took during my three month trip in southern Africa. I was a finalist in the 2015 Travel Photographer of the Year with my image of a salmon that I created during my month-long adventure in Alaska.
Wildlife Photographer of the Year
I was a finalist in the 2015 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in three categories with four images that I took in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. The image of a primate rescued from the illegal wildlife trade was a finalist in the Wildlife Photojournalist category.
