Tim Plowden Wins Best Eco Work Award at Snow Leopard Film Festival

by Tim Plowden, 13 June 2022

Tim Plowden, of Tim Plowden Photography, has won a prestigious Best ECO Work award from the Snow Leopard Film Festival. The award was given for Tim Plowden’s exciting nature documentary, The Circle of Life, which provides fresh insights into bird nest predation by Oriental Pied Hornbills in urban Singapore. The Circle of Life features exceptional narration (Ian Russell), story line, and visuals.

I’m delighted to receive the Best ECO Work award from the Snow Leopard Film Festival for my second independent production. With this production I attempted to apply everything I’ve learned so far about film making, interpreting behaviour and communicating wildlife conservation subjects. It was wonderful to work with long-time collaborators, Reehana Shihab and Ian Russell, again.

Snow Leopard Film Festival (SLIFF) is one of the most promising and fastest growing film festivals. The idea of creating SLIFF is the desire of young and talented movie fans and to help original and novice directors, producers, screenwriters and those who consider themselves part of the world of cinema. The main task of SLIFF is to give talented people the opportunity to be appreciated and get that coveted ticket to the big screen!
